Thanet Housing Projects
We have been working on multiple housing projects across Thanet, from our 170 in house Temporary Accommodation homes to our first commitment to producing at least 400 Council homes during this administration.
We have won awards from the Royal Town Planning Institute and the Kent Housing Group for our Council developments, as well as being shortlisted for national awards, and we work closely with local firms to produce our developments and deliver local apprenticeships and jobs.
Tomlin Drive, Dane Valley
Tomlin Drive is one of our Phase Four developments, designed with energy saving measures for larger families in mind. It comprises 12 new Council homes, including 8 three bed homes and 4 four bed homes, all with solar panels, low carbon technology and built to EPC A.
The RISE Centre, Margate
The RISE Centre Margate is Thanet's first ever year round multi agency rough sleeping centre. It provides 8 permanent bed spaces and high support for individuals moving towards independent tenancies. It opened in July 2026 and provides multi agency and staff support alongside NHS services such as counselling and podiatry.
In House Temporary Accommodation Project
In 2024 we committed to purchasing 170 homes to create In House Temporary Accommodation in Thanet, bringing local families home. Two years on from this commitment we have reduced out of area placements by almost 80%.
Spitfire Green Acquisitions
We have made multiple acquisitions on the Spitfire Green sites, both for permanent and temporary accommodation. These include our purchase of 85 units for genuinely affordable rent, and the acquisition of Section 106 units in Phase 3 of the development.
Staner Court Development
Staner Court is a Royal Town Planning Insitute award winning development that is currently through to their national awards.
Properties are EPC A rated, with air source heat pumps, solar panels, electric charge points and were allocated via a Local Letting Plan prioritising those who had connections to this part of Ramsgate.
Clements Road Development
Clements Road was designed as a community in and of itself, with accessibility in mind. It included a complete redesign of a brownfield site and communal areas, with new planting and parking arrangements, and enabled the provision of a four bed ground level home for a family who had been waiting a significant length of time for a suitably adapted property.
Foy House, Margate
Foy House was our first in house Temporary Accommodation project. It provides temporary accommodation for households to ensure they remain within Thanet and close to their families and support networks.
